South Pacific Hunters specializes in traditional free range hunting utilizing only fair chase methods with either rifle or bow.  To achieve the very best, in terms of hunter experience and trophy quality, we have teamed up with landowners who offer us unrestricted and sole access to large tracts of wilderness lands (some in excess of 200 square miles). These areas provide high quality trophies.

Hunting both New Zealand and Australia we are able to offer trophy hunts for the most sought after South Pacific game species including Red Stag, Himalayan Tahr, Alpine Chamois,  Fallow Deer, Water Buffalo, Rusa Stag, Sambar Stag, Banteng, Scrub Bull, Whitetail Deer, Wapiti Bull, Hog Deer, Sika Stag, Chital Stag, Boar, Arapawa Ram, South Pacific Goat.  In some instances the hunting areas are restricted to bow hunting.

Unlike many of the lodge environments found throughout the country that host several hunting parties at one time, South Pacific Hunters only hosts one group at a time and you have our undivided attention throughout your stay with us.  All hunters are personally guided by David Musgrave, South Pacific Hunters owner/operator and free-range Master Guide.  We take pride in being completely flexible to ensure that your hunt is especially tailor made to suit your specific hunting and personal requirements.  Our goal is to provide not only the very best in hunter experiences but trophy quality as well.  Trophy hunting requirements can vary from hunt to hunt so we encourage you to explore all options with us. This will help us put you in the best camps for the best hunting opportunities.  Packages can be arranged to include all South Pacific's trophies. Time wise, hunting schedules can vary from five days to one month or more.

New Zealand is the ultimate destination for those sportsman that are looking for not only unlimited hunting opportunities and exquisite fishing in unspoiled crystal clear rivers and lakes but also pristine, spellbinding landscapes ranging from the majestic Southern Alps to rolling emerald green hillsides and pastureland, vast plains, lush forests, picturesque fiords and spectacular glaciers.  This is without a doubt the most geographically diverse country in the world and being voted as the top tourist destination you will soon see why this is a paradise for the hunter and fisherman.

Although our specialty is free-range hunts, a rewarding experience can also be provided to those hunters who would prefer to hunt in a safari park (large-scale enclosure), especially if limited by factors such as time constraint. This is usually for red stag with trophies ranging in size from 320 – 400 plus SCI. We have access to one of the best private hunting areas in New Zealand.
